Results of Quick Portraits

I have needed new portraits for years. The one that has been on my website for a few years was taken when I was 16 years old. I was in Washington about a month ago for my great-grandma’s funeral and my mom was great enough to agree to photograph me on a cold night. We used the shop that is close to the house and it turned out better than I expected. My mom is a great photographer, but sometime technology is just plain against you. her flashes were being a pain and not working (turns out they were broken) and I was getting cold and feeling quite nauseated, but I am quite happy with the results. It’s great to have such a great photographer for a mother. Here are some of my favorites.

My mom knows I love sunflare, so she knew I would love this

I wanted really dramatic lighting so that it was a little different.

The current on on my website. Do you think I should use a different one

The only problems I have with these is my hair was in desperate need of a trim to get rid of nasty split ends, and my face was really broken out. Thanks to Photoshop I was able to help that a bit.

Random aside about acne: when I am really sick and feeling awful, I break out. No one wants that!

Thanks for doing these in the miserable cold mom!
